Project Summary

Exploring the success of South bank parklands, Goodwill pedestrian bridge was created to connect the park with the city center.

The bridge design had an extensive metal sheet from one end to the other to provide a sense of human scale.

Taking the opportunity to illuminate the bridge footpath indirectly to provide mainly good visual comfort, an adjustable uplight projector have been recessed on the bridge's floor. Additionally, low glare projectors with wide beam distribution have been placed along the bridge extension providing a comfortable amount of light on the bridge footpath.

On the external arches of the bridge, four super narrow beam projectors were integrated into the main structure to be seen from far distance.

Project was undertaken while Rodrigo was a lighting designer at WEBB Australia.
